I couldn't find the installation anywhere so I made it myself.

i first installed it and then restarted my pc after that i clicked on the
START menu and Clicked On Run And in the OPEN bar i typed "dxdiag" and clicked run it runed but it showing version. 9.c i have to now why pleas reply how to get it done right

You did everything right, but this isn't the official Microsoft DirectX 10 installation so it's still showing 9.0c.

How do i know it works?

if you have a graphic card that supports dx10, graphics will be much better in newer games

Dude on XP,even if u install DirectX 10 it still shows 9.0c,i don't know why but every time i installed it the same message.So just download and install as long as it works.Thanks,ChAW!!!

itss worked great...for new dx10 games and 8 series cards....

I don't see how this is 'complete. I have DX10 for XP and it's size is 5.56MB, not 1.0MB...

Funny thing is, I never had such an error free, perfectly compatable install in a long time. And it's so true. For laughs I tried to run the DX.cpl (control panel) that was fine with DX9 & it wouldn't work! The message said I had a newer version of directx in my system. It also means the cpl (if there is one) has a new design cause I used to use cpl's from different versions of
direct x till I could find one newer.
