The pioneers and grandmasters of epic metal, Manilla Road, will release their new studio album entitled "Playground of the Damned" on 15th July via High Roller Records (Vinyl) and 25th October via Shadow Kingdom Records (CD). Songwriting already started in 2008 and recording was completed early this year. It was again recorded in bandleader Mark "The Shark" Shelton's own personal studio in Wichita called Midgard Sound Labs. Mark wrote all the songs with a little input by Bryan "Hellroadie" Patrick. As opposed to the last album Voyager each of them are singing 50% of the songs similar as on previous albums like Gates of Fire or Spiral Castle. Also this time it's not a conceptual album although some songs share a similar lyrical approach.
