Crayon Physics Deluxe is a fun little physics sandbox game from Kloonigames. The object of the game is to assist a red ball by collecting stars around a series of islands. You must collect a certain number of stars before being allowed to advance to the next island. Every star in the game must be collected in order to reach the final level.
You assume the role of a friendly crayon, which can draw a number of designs. Unlike the typical game where you would select the type of object you would like to draw, crayon physics deluxe actually makes you draw by hand.
The lines that you draw become a physical object in the game. In the first level, you are shown the red ball and a star on the opposite side of the screen. Your job is to draw a solid line, which will bridge the gap over an opening. The game continues like that in a similar fashion with some twists for 70 levels with increasing difficulty.
Eventually, you will need to draw pendulums, axis, ropes, and gears. The innovative part of the game is shown when drawing multiple objects. Objects can be encased in other objects and drawn to link together. One can draw a solid block and then add an axis. The axis can be used to draw a pendulum. The pendulum would be drawn in the upright position so that when the drawing is complete, the pendulum will swing down due to gravity and kick the ball.
There are some fun surprises along the way, which we won't spoil but the game is incredibly addictive. The goal of the game is to get the little red ball to where it all began, the father of modern physics.
